Elm Business Support Services aren’t your average bookkeeping and accounting team. They’re approachable, clever, and genuinely passionate about helping businesses thrive—especially when it comes to getting financials back on track. When they reached out to refresh their website, they had a clear mission: showcase their rescue bookkeeping expertise while making accounting feel a little less… dull.

Elm already had a brand guide and colours in place, along with an older site built when they first launched. What they needed was a site that reflected the team they’ve grown into: skilled, reliable, and a little bit fun.

I led the project from strategy through to launch, starting with a complete re-architecture of the site’s structure and content. We focused on clearly communicating their five key offerings—rescue bookkeeping, business setup and training, bookkeeping, accounting, and payroll services—while giving each space to shine.

Design-wise, the vibe is clean, modern, and full of personality. We leaned into bright colours and friendly language to keep things engaging while maintaining a professional, trustworthy feel. I implemented lots of custom code to give the site polish and performance and ensured everything worked seamlessly across devices.

On the SEO front, we dug deep. I implemented strong foundational SEO across all pages, built a dedicated Local SEO landing page to boost visibility in their region, and set up their Google My Business profile according to best practice—laying the groundwork for better rankings and discoverability.

This project is one I’m especially proud of. Not just for the end result, which looks and works beautifully, but because the Elm team are just such lovely humans. Knowing this site is out there helping them do more of what they love makes me really happy.
