💡 Problem: You run a business, but still communicate with a Gmail account.
Let me take care of the hard bit for you and set up your business email for you. I’ll create and connect two new domain email addresses for you. E.g. hello@mywebsiteurl.com or joan@mywebsiteurl.com. If you already use Gmail, you’ll have no trouble using Google Workspace.

Domain
Your domain (your personalised URL) is generally the name of your business. EG mine is lookingglasscreative.co.
Pricing varies, but you’re looking at around $25 a year (just a ballpark).
If you’ve already purchased a domain, no worries, I can connect that to your new website, or we can transfer it to Squarespace if you’d like to have everything in one place.

Annual Plan
All Squarespace plans include fully managed cloud website hosting and SSL.
The Business account* is AUD $336 per year or AUD $40 if you’d prefer to pay monthly. You’ll save 30% by paying annually.
*This plan allows me to custom-code your website and create a bespoke site, just for you.
Professional
Email
Show your customers you mean business by sending emails from your domain eg, hello@mywebsiteurl.com or joan@mywebsiteurl.com.
Get your first year free if you set up and connect Google Workspace through Squarespace. After that, on the Business Starter plan you’re looking at AUD $9.90 per month. If you need help setting up your email account, give me a shout.
One-off Costs
Legal
This is the most overlooked item I see on websites, and something important for your business. I'm happy to add any legal pages needed to your new site at no extra charge. I just want you to be looked after.
Privacy Policy - If you are collecting data (your contact form, newsletters sign up forms, Google Analytics), it's a legal requirement that you have a privacy policy so that people understand how their data is being used so that they can see you're complying with regulations and so that they may opt-out etc.
Website Terms and Conditions (optional but I recommend)- These are not just for selling items on your website, it's about protecting the content on your website, e.g. articles, images, etc, anything that would be deemed your intellectual property and the ability to use testimonials any way you see fit.
I have an affiliate relationship with Foundd Legal. They have easy-to-fill-in-the-blanks contract templates for creatives and startups. I don’t mind who you use, just please make sure you look into this for your website.

Discovery: This is where we’ll have a good chat, sort out admin, you'll fill out the questionnaire where we talk about what you want out of your website, learning what you like, and don’t like, what features are essential for you, making sure I have all the logins I need for you, etc
Planning: I'll begin working on your SEO strategy (search engine optimisation) and the page layouts. We'll talk about the copy needed from you for the site, look at branding colours and fonts and make sure I have all the content from you I need for the site (files, images), etc
Development and build: I'll show you an early look at the site (layout only) to make sure I'm on the right path for you and get your feedback. Then, I’m in full building mode here, adding all the extra flourishes and code, connecting contact forms, compressing images, cookie consent, alt tag planning for images, mobile and tablet optimisation, etc
