Anita Mohammed came to me as a debut author launching her first crime thriller and needing a professional online presence to support her book and her growing writing career. She wanted a website that would help sell her book, showcase her work, and feel like a confident home for her as an author.
While Anita’s novel sits firmly in the crime thriller genre, we made a deliberate decision to keep the website itself clean and minimalist. The aim was to create a neutral, elegant backdrop that would allow her striking book cover to really sing, while still feeling polished, modern, and unmistakably “author-led.”
I worked with Anita on the full strategy and build, including SEO planning and setup, site structure, and custom code to refine the design and user experience. The focus was on clarity and ease: simple navigation, clear pathways to purchase her book, and a newsletter sign-up to help her grow a direct connection with readers over time.
The result is a calm, confident website that positions Anita as a professional author from day one. It’s easy to navigate, thoughtfully structured, and designed to grow alongside her writing career as new books are released.
